Connect Claude to TRUE for Crypto Research and Trading
Connect TRUE through MCP, verify your tools, and understand which trading actions need approval in the app.

Before you connect
You need a TRUE account and access to custom connectors in Claude. The remote MCP endpoint is https://app.truefinance.ai/api/v1/mcp. Use OAuth to connect your own TRUE account; do not paste a private key or an access token into a conversation.
Start with market data. Only move on to an account or trading workflow after you have verified which account is connected and which tools are available.
Add the connector in Claude
- Open Customize → Connectors in Claude. Choose the plus button, then Add custom connector.
- Name it TRUE, enter the endpoint above, and complete the offered authentication flow.
- Enable TRUE for the conversation through the plus menu.
- Ask:
Use TRUE to get the current SOL price. Include the timestamp and source. Do not place an order.
For a managed workspace, an owner may first need to add the connector under Organization settings. Menus and availability can change; consult Claude’s current setup instructions.
Verify a result before requesting an action
Check that Claude actually used a TRUE tool. A plausible answer from the conversation alone does not verify the connection. Compare the returned asset, timestamp and account context with TRUE. If the result is stale or a tool is missing, refresh the connection and repeat the read-only check.
For a draft-only example, ask: Create a draft spot Autopilot named Weekly review, with a balanced risk profile and $100 allocated capital. Do not activate it.
Creating a draft does not fund it or start trading. You review, fund and authorize activation in TRUE.
Trading approvals and recovery
Keep TRUE open for app-signed orders. Every MCP perpetual order needs approval; small spot trades may use a threshold you configured. Read the asset, side, size and order type before approving. A pending approval is not an executed trade.
If a response times out, check the original approval and app activity before submitting another order. Reusing the original approval identifier follows the same request; a new request can duplicate an order. Disconnecting Claude does not close positions, stop every agent or cancel external recurring orders.
Common connection problems
- No custom-connector option
- Check your Claude plan and workspace permissions.
- Authentication succeeds but no tools appear
- Enable TRUE in this conversation and refresh the connector’s tool list.
- An order remains pending
- Open TRUE under the connected account and inspect the existing approval request.
